Healing The Wound

The energy of August comes with a clear sweetness, a subtle, kind and gentle quality. It's your mom giving you a hug after you scrapped your knee. The energy of July was that piercing knife pointed right at the solar plexus, revealing any old persisting wounds. Now that the wounds have been excised, August comes in to clean and dress them so we can move forward stronger and more clear. Those shadow parts of ourselves we rarely see, and usually avoid, got a big dose of light this last month, and they've left us soft and gooey, and ready for healing. Imagine a young tulip in a bud that has now opened its petals and revealed its beauty. So too are we, left with so much beauty.

This month, focus on clearing and cleaning your home, your body, your relationships, and your energy field. Let go of things that have been holding you back: a dirty basement, a half-decorated room, a friendship with things left unsaid. Individually these seem innocuous — simple and unimportant — but left unattended for too long, they begin to fester, gather, and collect, eventually making up the whole of the place you're living; a place that has become contaminated.

Think of pouring peroxide or iodine on your wounds, and just how gently you would treat yourself while you're healing. Give yourself that same care and attention this month. Rest when you're tired. Feed yourself healthy, nourishing food. Get rid of old clutter. Finally let yourself decorate your home in a way that honors yourself and your things. Imagine you were moving and you had to decorate for an open house. Let yourself live in a space like that instead of waiting for it to be someone else's home.

You deserve to be taken care of NOW.

A few things to help facilitate this health and healing:

Drink Celery Juice — This is a game changer, folks. I've been hearing about it for a while and had done it here and there but mainly with other ingredients. A friend of mine is doing a 30-day challenge and I decided to try it too. I'm only on day 5 and already I notice a huge difference. I feel more grounded, sturdy, present, energized and it's making me notice the choices I make throughout the day. I want to eat healthier because I feel so good. There's a whole host of information out there about it, but it's suppose to be a whole gut re-balancer, and it seems to be right on from what I'm experiencing. Medical Medium, Anthony William, wrote a whole book on it Medical Medium Celery Juice: The Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time Healing Millions Worldwide. I haven't read it yet, but will definitely report on the future results.

Marie Kondo — I'm sure by now you've heard of Marie Kondo and her book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. I did it about 3-4 years ago and it was really profound. There's a series of steps she recommends, but the main essence is individually holding each object in your home and asking yourself if it sparks joy. Anything that doesn't gets donated. In the end, you want everything that remains in your home to hold purpose, value and reverence for you. Your home should reflect who you are, and what you truly love; nothing extra.

Chanting — I've talked a lot about this but it really is a valuable tool for clearing and balancing your energy field. It's like sweeping your internal house. If you can develop a practice with it every day, you will see a real shift in your sense of calm and well-being, with the added bonus of finding your voice and that strong sense of knowing who you are, what you have to say, and what your purpose is in the world. You want to commit to a regular practice. Use a set of mala beads to count, and go at least one time around (108 beads). If you want to try it without the beads, you can set your timer for 20 minutes and it will take about that long to use the chant we're using this month: Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya. Watch the video for more instruction.

In many ways, August is like a full system reset. Now that you can clearly see what was holding you back, what energy had been unaddressed, what wound had been festering, you can let it go, dress the wound, and love yourself back into healing. It's a clean slate full of forgiveness, joy and clarity. You get to honor and celebrate the things you love about yourself and the life you have cultivated, while witnessing your own power and strength in doing so.

Have a joyful month, and remember to celebrate all you have achieved.

All my love, Heidi
